About the exhibition
The exhibition takes place 7–9 May 2027 at Fífan in Kópavogur.
SUMAR EXPO 2027 is for anyone who wants to enjoy, learn about, and explore the latest in everything connected to the summer house, the garden, the outdoors, travel, and the home.
Visitors can enjoy refreshments on offer throughout the exhibition between visits to exhibitors and presenters. Free childcare will be available so the whole family can enjoy the day.
Summer exhibitions were held in Iceland from 2002 to 2008 and drew large crowds of visitors and exhibitors alike. Summer-related products and leisure have come a long way since then, and SUMAR EXPO is the ideal opportunity to discover the latest developments — and get properly into the summer mood.
SUMAR EXPO takes inspiration from earlier Icelandic summer, garden, and outdoor exhibitions that ran for many years — including Sumarhúsið og Garðurinn. Those shows were a popular and important venue for companies to present products and services tied to summer houses, gardens, outdoor life, travel, and the Icelandic summer.
At the time, these exhibitions attracted a broad audience — families, homeowners, summer-house owners, outdoor enthusiasts, food lovers, and people planning projects of their own. Visitors could pick up ideas, compare options, and meet service providers all in one place.
With SUMAR EXPO, the aim is to revive that tradition in a fresher, more modern form — with a broader focus on everything that makes summer: the outdoors, the home, the garden, travel, leisure, and lifestyle.
